Folders and favorites

Group KanbanWP boards into folders and star the ones you use most so a growing list of boards stays easy to scan.

When you have more than a handful of boards, folders and favorites help you find the right one fast.

Folders

A folder is a plain text label on a board. There is no separate folder screen to manage. A folder exists as long as at least one board uses its name.

Put a board in a folder

When you create a board, type a name in the Folder field of the Create a board form. As you type, the field suggests the names of folders you already use, so you can reuse them without typos. Leave it empty if the board does not belong to a folder.

Browse by folder

On KanbanWP > Boards, use the folder dropdown next to the search box. It starts on All folders and lists every folder in use. Choose one and click Filter to see only its boards. The Folder column in the table shows where each board lives.

Type a folder name the same way each time, or pick it from the suggestions, so boards end up in one folder.

Favorites

Favoriting marks a board you care about.

  • In the boards list, hover a row and click Favorite. The link changes to Unfavorite and a star appears beside the board name.
  • Inside a board, click the star button in the header.

Both ways change the same setting for the board. Favorite is a property of the board, so it is the same for everyone who can see it.

The search box on the boards screen matches board names. Combine it with a folder to narrow a long list quickly.
