A saved view stores a combination of filters so you can bring it back later without setting each dropdown again. It is useful for questions you ask over and over, such as “What is overdue and urgent?” or “What is Dana working on?”
What a saved view contains
A saved view remembers the filter bar: the search text, Assignee, Label, Priority and Due. It does not remember which tab (Kanban, List and so on) you were on, so applying a saved view keeps you in the view you have open.
Save a view
- Set the filters you want in the filter bar.
- Click Saved views.
- Type a name in the View name field.
- Tick Shared if other board members should see it.
- Click Save.
If you can only view the board and not edit it, the save form is not shown, but you can still apply views that exist.
Apply a view
Click Saved views and click the view’s name. The filters change, the board updates and a short “Saved.” message appears. If there are no views yet, the popover says “No saved views yet.”
Applying a view replaces your current filters. To go back to everything, set each dropdown back to its first option and clear the search box.
Private and shared views
- A view you save without ticking Shared is private. Only you can see it.
- A shared view appears for everyone on the board and shows a Shared badge.
Delete a view
Click the x beside a view in the popover and confirm. You can delete the views you created. Board admins can delete any view on the board, including ones created by others.
Tips
- Name views by the question they answer, such as “Overdue, urgent”.
- Share views for team routines, like a standup view filtered by assignee.
- Switch to the Calendar or Table tab after applying a view to see the same tasks in another layout. See Views.
